Precise mobilization and manipulation can relieve blockages, tension and loss of mobility - ailments often responsible for pain and increased strain on the body. The three pillars of osteopathy are:
According to ancient chinese belief the whole body is permeated by a dense network of channels (meridians), through which the life-energy “qi” in its components YIN and YANG flows. The perfect balance of these opposite poles represents the ideal state of health. An imbalance however leads to various physical and mental symptoms to the point of illness. Acupuncture harmonizes the energetics of the nervous system and is consequently an important part of therapy.

To preserve successful treatment, counteract weaknesses and fight muscular imbalances long-term, it is often necessary to specifically train the locomotor system. A personally optimized training plan, adjusted to the individual needs of the patient supports exactly that goal. I am partnered with qualified partners to achieve these goals.
Biofunctional therapy is built on four pillars: The practice of yoga, self-treatment, external treatment, as well as nutrition and detoxification of the body.
We from the Biofunktional Akademie train therapists and physicians in this treatment approach.
However, we would also like to encourage patients to self-regulate and treat themselves, thus enabling them to lead a life free of pain and dysfunction in the long term. Over 450 educational videos, the app system and an e-learning platform, as well as Acuflow’s medical products are available for exactly this purpose.
With this system you can sustainably and interactively learn to contribute to your individual treatment. The app advances the exercises according to your progress and individual needs. Successes and possible questions are saved as statistics and can be discussed in a later meeting. Take your health into your own hands.
My dedication to medicine, sport and athletics is rooted in my family and my time in school. An exchange year at a US sports school was the start of my professional career and passion for the subject matter. Following my work as a certified fitness trainer during my Abitur and my alternative service in an orthopedic hospital, I started an education at Germany’s oldest and most renowned school for physiotherapy. The state examination for physiotherapy I obtained there is the ideal basis for the osteopathy studies I am currently attending at the Academy for Osteopathy and Naturopathy under Dr. Edgar Hinkelthein. My successfully completed education in Acupuncture under Franz Thews and my professional permit as an alternative practitioner complement my professional qualifications.
My patients come to me with a variety of ailments. Those can be treated if the problem lies within a dysfunction. The range of symptoms my patients visit me for go from standard pains of the locomotor system like back-, knee- or shoulder pain to headaches, migraines, numbness in extremities, stress, sleeplessness, listlessness or digestion troubles, as well as other individual problems.
Together we can identify the problem and start the necessary treatment immediately.
In this collection of thoughts and reports I would like to illuminate the different sides of therapy process. The five components: patient, practitioner, problem, therapeutic agent and setting lead to interesting and complex progressions that are clear show that healing and fixing are fundamentally different.
